A lot of info has already been collected.  The last time (?) this came up
here, Rick Adams put together a web page on it:

It includes, among other things, the transcript and its history, an
official statement from NASA PAO, and a long technical discussion of the
shuttle power system & why the transcript is bogus, written by a brilliant
NASA engineer named "Steve Patland", or something very much like that.
